Responsibilities: The right candidate will be responsible f! or the development and execution of all operational policies a! s well as financial, legal, and HR support. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and department leads on implementing best practices within operations, finance, legal, and HR.
Work closely with the CEO in evaluating, planning, prioritizing, and optimizing established operational methods, systems, and policies within the existing organization. Work closely with the CEO to evaluate overall performance and trends. Help the CEO and Department Leads to continuously improve EBITA %. Represent the CEO's intentions in various management meetings regarding operational goals and standards to be kept up. Help document, ideate, and recommend improvements in efficiency and process (through structure, tools, and education) to best achieve expected results in all departments. Direct the development and installation of approved new procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow. Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance w! ith local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. Appraise and evaluate the results of the overall operations regularly and systematically. Work with dept. leads as a liaison on new procedures, new systems, workflows, and best practices. Review all weekly department reports, evaluate all staff utilization/under-utilization. Work with CEO and Department Leads to determine if investments in staff need to be made. Conduct on-boarding process, performance reviews, issuing warnings, and possible terminations. Support the HR department in maintaining adequate and equitable personnel policies throughout the organization, including employee handbook, compensation policies and employee benefit plans. Update the company organizational chart, road map, and financial projections. Organize and pro-actively develop agenda for weekly department leads meeting. Organize and pro-actively develop agenda for monthly staff meeting with CEO. Maintain various month! ly/yearly cultural activities to enhance company morale. Work closely w! ith an external accounting firm to insure timely financial data input & reporting. Facilitate delivering information and updates to the Board of Directors, Shareholders, and key partners. Work closely with external lawyer(s) on contracts, trademarks, copyright, and other legal matters. Requirements: Business degree mandatory; MBA preferred but not essential. Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role ideally with finance and HR experience. Proven record of operational leadership and accomplishments in companies with 40+ employees. P&L experience a must. Agile/Scrum experience recommended. Experience with BI tools (such as Google Analytics, Flurry, AppFigures, JIRA, YoDiz, KISSmetrics, Facebook Insights) for dashboard, KPI, Metric and Financial reporting. Excel and PowerPoint proficiency is a must. Experience using Google Docs. QuickBooks Pro experience recommended (general reports, cutting checks, onboarding new employees, basic data entry). Demonstrate the ability ! to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Ability to plan and think ahead over a 6-12 month span A successful track record of achieving growth and profitability targets. Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution. Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and external advisors. Ability to review, negotiate, author, and revise contracts such as employment contracts, contractor terms, office space leases, and various term sheets.
