Data Entry Specialist


 

The Meridium Data Entry Specialist is an integral project team member performing data entry into Meridium and managing that data within the Meridium database. The Specialist will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team that consists of other professionals with various backgrounds in the engineering/inspection fields.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team that consists of other professionals with various backgrounds in the engineering/inspection fields.
  • Properly read and understand equipment design documents such as (but not limited to) U-1As and As-Built drawings.
  • Enter mechanical, operating, design, inspection, and other relevant data into Meridium software and/or data-load spreadsheet.
  • Build equipment packages consisting of documents such as (but not limited to) U-1As, As-built drawings, and Inspection Reports.
  • Read and understand P&IDs and PFDs.
  • Entry of data specific to systems, circuits, equipment, piping, instrumentation, and relief devices as well as data validation on existing data through software interface and import/export functions.
  • Run data queries and generate reports based on these queries.
  • Be able to navigate through Meridium modules (version 3 and up).
  • Track daily progress via Excel spreadsheets.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Experience working with equipment and inspection data entry and maintaining that information in Meridium.
  • Experience with Meridium data-loading spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Experience working within a refinery or plant setting.
  • Experience in SQL, SAP, AutoCAD, and MicroStation a plus.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas, Chemical, and/or Pharmaceutical Industries.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Organized individual with ability to multi-task.
  • Exhibit good time management and be able to meet project deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (e.g. U-1As, As-Built DWGs, PFDs, Heat and Material Balance Sheets, P&IDs, and Inspection isometrics).
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of industry standard governing codes (e.g. API, ASME).
  • Basic understanding of CMLs and CML readings.
  • Basic understanding NDT methods (specifically UT).

Reporting Relationships:

This person would report to a Manager and have no direct reports.

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily sedentary; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
