Manager Labor Relations Duties: Participate in the development of and manage the implementation of the Manufacturing Labor Relations Strategy. Pr! ovide support to the operating platforms in the development of their respective Labor Relations Strategy to ensure alignment with the Enterprise Labor Strategy. Drive the process of negotiating labor agreements that facilitate workforce effectiveness at facilities with union represented bargaining units. Serve as consultant to operating platforms with respect to day-to-day labor relation s issues and labor conflict resolution. Develop, implement, and monitor corporate initiatives to maintain positive employee relations at union free facilities. Promote continual learning of HR field professionals with respect to labor relations. Partner with operating platform human resources professionals in development and execution of targeted labor strategies to enhance overall workforce effectiveness. Participate at all key junctures in the Labor Relations process, including: Due diligence acquisition assessment. (coordination); Plant Wellness Assessments. (coordination); Annual Review! s at Union Free Locations. (project leader); Union Free Organi! zing Campaigns. (project leader); Corporate Campaigns. (ownership); Labor Relations Training. (ownership); Pre Negotiations Planning. (project leader); Spokesperson at Collective Bargaining Negotiations. (project leader); Work Stoppage Planning. Provide advisory services to field human resources professionals and the supply chain with respect to labor relation s issues. Develop and lead best practices in labor relations across the enterprise. Content expertise in the areas of contract administration, grievance arbitration, NLRA, DOL regulations, FMLA, WARN, and similar state laws.
Requirements: Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study is required. Law Degree, MBA, or related Master Degree a plus. 3 years of hands on experience in the area of labor relations with significantly sized workforces. Labor negotiations in relevant industries. Experience as an Human Resource generalist preferably in a plant setting. Employee Relations knowledge and experience an! asset. Bilingual skills in English/Spanish. Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft. Direct experience in the maintenance of a union free environment including organization campaigns. Direct experience in crisis management, including the development of work stoppage plans. Ability to comprehend and understand complex financial and workforce data. Strong demonstrated project management skills. Strong knowledge of employee benefits and associated costs. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationship with customers and union leaders at all levels. Creative leadership in the development and articulation of labor policy and strategy. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal, influencing and collaborative skills. Excellent consulting; project management and advocacy skills.
