Description: Nebraska State Government is at present looking to employ Staff Assistant I right now, this career will be presented in Nebraska. For complete informations about this career opportunity please read the description below. Examples of Work:
Under general supervision, performs general administrative duties for the Deputy Director of Claims & Program Integrity, to include but not limited to: r! eporting, preparing/maintaining spreadsheets, coordinating meetings, and making travel arrangements. Performs varied technical support activities to assist Units within the same chain of command (e.g., Estate Recovery, Health Insurance Premium Program, etc.). Coordinates, tracks, and monitors resolution of administrative fair hearing appeals. Coordinates legislative tracking system for Medicaid and Long Term Care. Supports/handles calls to the Medicaid main phone line. Processes purchase orders for various contracts and miscellaneous expenses approved by Director. Communicates and works with other MLTC and DHHS Agency staff, Legal Services, Medicaid clients and other interested groups. Maintains high level of confidentiality and performs other administrative duties in support of Deputy Director, Claims and Program Integrity.

Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and! methods including the operation of personal computers and off! ice equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

PREFERRED: Associates degree in related field with minimum of two years of office experience. Experience in office, administrative, technical, or clerical support work. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Prior professional experience in providing outstanding written and oral communication. Also prefer general working knowledge of claims, appeals and/or provider billing experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate will possess the ability to: work independently yet collaboratively in a team setting; prioritize, multi-task, be detail-oriented, provide analyze, develop and organize materials; establish and maintain positive relationships with Agency staff, service providers! , attorneys, clients, and other diverse individuals; and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
