The Field Support Analyst (FSA) is responsible for providing project and technical support to the Edeniq, Inc. customer plant trials, plant start-ups and ongoing st! art up customer support. Gathering and maintaining a strong plant data base is an important part of the FSA job. This information will be used to trouble shoot problems and will also be used in order to improve Edeniq products. The data will be analyzed to show the performance being delivered from the Edeniq products. This position has extensive involvement with sales and field support team, product development and commercialization. The FSA reports to the VP of Sales/Marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Set up and perform fermentations.
Set up and perform customer support onsite testing.
Assist in developing additional customer support testing methodology.
Prepare written reports with analysis, conclusions, and recommendations from experimental results.
Helping develop testing performance protocols for new products.
Gather and maintain plant operations information in order to establish a corporate data base that w! ill be validate product’s performance, provide troubleshooti! ng information, and continually improve Edeniq product performance.
Facilitate, foster and maintain positive customer interaction.
Other duties as defined by the VP of Sales/Marketing.
Required Experience:
EDUCATION :
A B.S. degree is preferred but not required, in chemistry or related field from an accredited, 4 year college;
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in Analytical Chemistry lab practices and report writing analysis of experimental results.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
An understanding of fermentation techniques is advantageous;
Must be able to work weekends and flexible schedules to accommodate testing;
Ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Excellent speaking, writing and organizational skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office; to provide detailed graphs backed with analysis and conclusion for customer pr! esentation
Ability to function as part of a multi-discipline project team.
50-75% travel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodations. This position is considered moderate work, exerting up to 5-10 pounds frequently in a plant setting, and work is primarily done upright at a chest high lab counter for lengthy periods of time working with chemicals, beakers, flasks and other lab equipment:
Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move or hold or position objects.
Must be able to remain in a stationary standing or seated position for one hour at a time.
Must be able to move or traverse greater than one mile per day while on plant premises.
Must be able operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, detect or position plant machinery and equipment.
! Must be able operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, detect or positi! on laboratory instruments and equipment.
Ascend/Descend, work atop, traverse stairs and ladders.
Position self to/move under equipment, between piping and tight spaces.
Detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess issues with machinery and equipment (Plant and Laboratory)
Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions
Exposure to fumes, dusts, mists, gases, wetness and humidity.
Exposure to mechanical hazards.
Exposure to chemical (including flammability) and Electrical Hazards.
Exposure to extreme temperatures and burn hazards.
Exposure to vibration and noise above 85 decibels, require hearing protection.
Able to work extended shifts in an Ethanol Plant Environment
