HR Department - Senior Specialist/Program Manager Duties: Manage a consistently applied Return to Work Program (RTW) for on duty injured em! ployees from assigned Service Unit. Provide consultation and problem resolution for such cases, ensuring effective liaison and communication between the employee, the local Service Unit management team, and the UP Health and Medical Services team. Support the Return to Work process for on-duty injured employees for the North Platte Service Unit. Identify employees absent from work due to medical issues. Contact these employees telephonically or by letter. Explain the RTW program and invite them to participate. Develop Temporary Productive Work plans (TPW) designed to transition employees with temporary work restrictions to their regular job assignments within 60 days. This requires significant coordination with employees, service unit managers, local union representatives, and external medical providers. Upon conclusion of Temporary Productive Work plan or RA, consult with Health Service Department medical staff to clarify medical/fitness for duty status of employee and ens! ure the employee's safe and timely return to regular job assig! nment. Participate in Service Unit Superintendent weekly calls, staff meetings, and MQA meetings for the assigned Service Unit. Maintain current and accurate case documentation through OHM online system.

Requirements: A Bachelor Degree. A post-graduate degree (MBA, J.D. degree etc.) or higher in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or closely aligned field will be considered. Certified Rehabilitation Counselor or eligible to take certification exam during the first 12 months of employment. 2 years experience / knowledge in a management / professional position employed as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and actively managing vocational rehabilitation cases a plus. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient communication skills. Proficient Microsoft Suite skills including use and development of Word, Excel, Power Point, or Access.
