Senior Attorney The candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Legal Department s Vice President to provide legal opinions; draft various type of banking indu! stry (credit card) contracts and legal research. Will require drafting and reviewing of marketing materials so experience in advertising law is preferred. Frequent interaction and communication with internal business unit managers, employees and outside counsel will be required. Should have a Juris Doctor degree.
Must be licensed to practice law and an attorney in good standing. Experience in law firm or corporate setting in the areas of banking and consumer finance is required. Must have a strong working knowledge and experience with federal and state consumer lending laws and banking regulations. Should have significant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on financial transactions (credit card, contract and/or advertising law experience preferred).
Must be able to draft and analyze legal contracts and credit card marketing materials to comply with banking regulations for various proposed business plans. Familiarity with Fed! eral banking laws and regulations is needed.
