Their unique model of underwriting, loss prevention, and claims management allows employers to maximize control over their costs. Due to continued growth they are seeking to add an additional Work Comp Claims Adjuster in Iowa, Wisconsin or Nebraska. Depending on location you could work from your home for this role.
Workers Compensation Adjuster Responsibilities
- Handle Workers' Compensation losses in the moderate to complex severity range.
- Research and formulate decisions on coverage and law issues, conduct thorough investigations, evaluate exposures and liability, and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
- Manage customer relationship for assigned accounts, including communica! tion on all of their claims. Effectively reserving files, moni! toring file activity with a diary system, presentation of claim files to the claim committee, and participating in training activities.
- Conduct on-site investigations and Customer meetings.
- Attend pre-hearings, hearings and mediations. Oversee outside attorneys handling litigated files.
- Bachelor's degree, Associate in Claims designation
- 5-7 years prior Workers' Compensation claims handling experience, preferably in Wisconsin and Iowa
- Previous experience working from field
