Paralegal II in the Legal department
at our corporate office in Sidney, NE.
! JOB DESCRIPTION:
The paralegal will provide support to the Labor and Employment corporate attorney. The paralegal will setup, organize and manage all employment litigation files, paper and electronic, under the supervision of the attorney. These duties include interaction and professional communication with all departments within the business, outside legal counsel, state and federal government agencies, experts, and others. In addition to litigation duties, the paralegal will support all other aspects of labor and employment law including employee benefits, hiring and recruiting, orientation, offer letters, separation agreements, assisting with the development of training, and all projects involving human resources. The position will also be responsible for timely and appropriate responses to requests for employee records, immigration documents, legal research and writing of legal memoranda, coordination of the attorney’s schedule, travel and expenses, and mor! e depending on the needs of the business. Prefer applicants wi! th paralegal degrees or certificates but will consider in-house law department or law firm experience.
