DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide team leadership to inspire Association vision consistent with core values and team principles. Instill a collaborative team environment and develop team members through coaching, training, as well as ongoing performance feedback. Complete all necessary leadership tasks including conducting performance reviews, championing employee engagement and employee development.
2. Work with resources inside and outside of project team to resolve project impediments. Escalate issues to the appropriate body for resolution. Display appropriate sense of urgency.
3. Champion technical excellence using Farm Credit Services of Americaâs agile practices and best practices in software development.
4. Coach and motivate a team and individuals to iteratively develop high quality, innovative solutions for our customers.
5. Facilitate, manage, and communicate all aspects of agile planning.
6. Partner with other IT teams to understand and coordinate project dependencies and any potential impacts to the deliverables.
7. Understand the Associationâs strategic objectives and lead the team in execution.
8. Champion and facilitate change. Serve as a member of cross-functional teams. Actively engage in program leadership.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field required or equivalent experience. A minimum of five years experience in software development, including 2 years leading projects, focused on creating client-server or Internet/Intranet based technologies. Demonstrated ability to lead individuals and teams.
Duties require:
- Knowledge of customer service philosophies and the role of information management; computer hardware, software, languages, environments and related matters. Detailed knowledge of Internet/Intranet and client-server products and related terminology.
- Understanding of software development processes, object oriented design, software quality assurance and relational database development.
- Understanding of Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and complete tasks on a timely basis.
- Exercise leadership and judgment; analyze, evaluate and facilitate solutions to complex problems; make a positive personal impact on others; be innovative and creative and be logical and objective.
- Train, instruct and provide guidance to others.
- Interact positively with representatives of other associations, vendors and commercial entities.
- A passion for agile and the ability to understand and embrace agile delivery methods.
- Demonstrate team building attitude and skills.
- Superior organization, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in facilitation of: user story creation, prioritization and estimation; planning; retrospectives; product demonstrations; release planning; daily stand ups.
- Understand and be a strong proponent of continuous integration and automation.
- Scrum certification or experience a plus.
- Proficient in Windows environment and use of Microsoft Office Suite.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Operates a computer and related peripheral equipment proficiently and performs repetitive motions on computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate and critique such information as written materials, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work related activities.
- Ability to complete work in an acceptable time frame and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
- Understands and uses computer technology related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to operate telephone and respond to calls and in-person inquiries.
- Ability to move about the office with occasional reaching and bending.
- Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job up to 10%
- Ability to lift or move equipment up to 50 pounds from one location to another.
