Handle incoming phone calls and assist patients, insurance representatives, and clinic staff with billing questions. Update demographic information, post personal payments, and process attorney requests for billing information.
Essential Duties:
Serve as a customer service representative for The Physician Network.
Communicate in a professional and courteous manner when assisting patients or insurance representatives with questions on accounts.
Research and answer billing questions in a timely manner. Demonstrate effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Educate patients explaining insurance and billing processes as required.
Post personal payments daily.
Review attorney requests for billing information and process accordingly.
Update insurance information and file claims with insurance as required.
Update address information as required.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience:
One to two years of medical billing office experience.
Knowledge of basic computer applications for Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
Ability to demonstrate effective customer service techniques.
Knowledge of insurance industry and basic medical terminology.
Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written communication.
Ability to act independently and know when to refer situations to higher level authority or collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to use discretion with confidential data and sensitive information.
License/Certification:
None required.
