BARISTA
Nature’s Brew Café! We are looking for YOU! Come be a part of a fast-paced and FUN full-service restaurant environment! We are looking to hire a hard-working, self-motivated, and high-energy individual to join our staff as a Barista.
You will be responsible for providing great quality customer service, taking orders, and fulfilling orders.

Coffee Preparation: You will be responsible for preparing and brewing coffee using different methods such as espresso machines, pour-over techniques, French press, and more. This includes grinding coffee beans, measuring the right amount of coffee, tamping, and extracting espresso shots.
Beverage Creation: In addition to coffee, you will be expected to create a wide range of beverages such as cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, mochas, and other specialty drinks. This involves frothing milk, adding syrups, and creating latte art when required.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is a key part of being a barista. You will greet customers, take their orders, answer their questions about the menu, and offer recommendations based on their preferences. Additionally, you will handle cash transactions, operate the cash register, and ensure accurate order processing.
Menu Knowledge: It is essential to have a good understanding of the menu offerings. You should be knowledgeable about different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, flavor profiles, and any additional items on the menu such as pastries or sandwiches.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Sanitation: Baristas are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This includes regularly cleaning espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment, as well as keeping the counter area, tables, and seating areas tidy. Adhering to health and safety guidelines is crucial to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
Stocking and Inventory Management: You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed, such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other ingredients. This involves keeping track of stock, organizing storage areas, and placing orders with suppliers.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Baristas often work in a team environment, so effective communication and collaboration with co-workers and other staff members are important. This includes assisting other team members during busy periods, coordinating tasks, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations.
Upselling and Promotions: As a barista, you may be responsible for promoting seasonal drinks, new menu items, or special offers to customers, thereby contributing to sales and customer engagement.
