The Business Technology Platforms group is part of the Core Systems & Platforms organization. We are responsible for the products and platforms that support TWDC's corporate business functions (Corporate Real Estate, Global Security, Enterprise Social Responsibility, Investor Relations, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.) and enterprise service management platforms (Appian, Salesforce, & ServiceNow). We provide strategic technology solutions in support of empowering the business, workforce, and technology communities through digital transformation.
We’re looking for an Associate Product Owner to ensure that that we are building the “best-in-class” products while continuously maintaining and enhancing existing products to improve our competitive advantage and technical excellence. The Associate Product Owner works to support the development efforts of one or more agile teams, in partnership with the individual Product Owners supporting each agile team. This role is responsible for assisting the team to maintain a prioritized the Team Backlog made up of defined User Stories that enables the team to effectively and efficiently delivery the commitments to their customers, on time, on budget and on function.
In this role, you will play a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team by ensuring Stories meet the user’s needs with clearly defined acceptance criteria that encompass comprehensive testing and validation and comply with the Definition of Done. You will demonstrate customer centricity and service orientation, by building collaborative relationships across the enterprise and ensuring the delivery of quality product that delivers the desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities
Partner with the Product Owner to build customer relationships
Maintain established product feedback loops for integration into the agile delivery cycle
Maintain product/project roadmaps for integration to business planning cycles
Acts as point of contact with internal stakeholders and the assigned product or product areas
Participate in the development of well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria based on established requirements
Assist in the development of high-level engineering designs and writing tests cases, in partnership with senior software engineers and solution architects
Collaborate with quality engineering resources to define tests, analyze results, and resolve defects
Evaluate the delivered stories against the definition of done and the established acceptance criteria
Present technical issues, solutions and status to senior software engineers and managers
Basic Qualifications
Strong communication skills including written and presentation skills
Technology background or applicable technology skills
Customer service orientation building strong relationships with internal or external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ITIL concepts
Previous experience with agile software development practices

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $93,398.00-$125,290.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
