Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time paralegal with 2 or more years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department to assist and provide support to our Immigration and Litigation a ttorneys. The paralegal will primarily be involved with the preparation and submission of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions, labor certification applications, immigrant visa petitions, permanent resident applications, and U.S. citizenship applications, with an emphasis on labor certification applications. He/she will assist immigration attorneys in assessing immigration options for corporate clients, obtaining U.S. work authorization for foreign nationals, and maintaining valid visa status of clients’ foreign national populations. Other duties include: • preparing labor certification documents; • overseeing labor certification recruitment process; • preparing letters in support of visa petitions; • maintaining correspondence with clients; • collecting evidence and visa documentation from clients; • conducting case audits; • maintaining contact with government agencies; • researching visa application procedures and requirements; and • maintainin g client databases with respect to approval and validity dates of visa petitions.
