Description: GCC Consulting is currently seeking to employ Litigation/Attorney/In House/Omaha, Nebraska right now, this occupation will be presented in Nebraska. PIP Claims Specialist II The candidate, under technical supervision, handles claims of medium to high exposure and complexity w! ithin specific limits and authority. Generally handles specifically PIP and Auto Med-pay claims. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have 3+ years of PIP (Personal Injury Protection) or workers' compensation claims handling experience.
Should have 3+ years of related experience with Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years of related experience without Bachelor's degree OR 2+ years of related litigation experience with a J.D. degree. Must have specific PIP litigation experience in MI (NY, NJ, and FL helpful). Should have prior experience with American Arbitration Association and Forthright Arbitration.
Should also have prior experience writing complex coverage letters. Prior experience in managing attorneys to conduct examinations under oath needed. Prior experience using direct vendors for independent medical examinations required. Fundamental knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment a must.
Should hav! e functional and developing knowledge of the legal statutes an! d procedures. Must display a thorough functional knowledge and skill of claims handling specific to workers compensation and/or PIP. Should attain state claims adjuster's license for the following states within prescribed timeframe: FL, DE, TX, and KY. Must be able to manage 180-200 pending claim files.
Should be PC proficient with emphasis on Word, Excel, and internet applications.
