Paralegal
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

The successful candidate will work independently to complete the following tasks: General Litigation Activities:
Performing initial case assessments and investigating claims
Responding to subpoenas
Ensuring copies of doc! umentation are properly filed and distributed
Calendaring key dates in cases
Creating and organizing case files
Assisting with the interviewing of witness and preparing them for depositions and trial
Assisting with responding to discovery
Assisting with document holds, retention and the collection and review of documents
Attending hearings and trials in order to take notes and provide summaries of the proceedings
Working with internal clients and outside counsel
Performing legal and factual research
Identifying judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material
Preparing litigation status reports, including updating Case Track
Helping prepare legal arguments, applications, declarations and correspondence
Reviewing and monitoring new and updated cases, laws and regulations
Drafting routine legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, briefs, and memoranda
Providing support to other depart! ments to fulfill documentation requests and/or provide informa! tion regarding the corporate structure
Coordinating requests between multiple parties involved in litigation by way of consistent communication with client, claims and full partnership with attorney though the case
