EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requ! irements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
Knowledge of federal laws and regulations governing residential mortgage, such as (but not limited to) FDCPA, Privacy Act, Patriot Act, Information Security policies of NSM including ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems.
Thorough knowledge of mortgage operations including Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Evictions
Must be flexible and willing to travel on assigned cases with limited notice.
Ability to read, interpret and respond to legal complaints and interrogatories, as requested.
Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in mortgage default servicing.
Mortgage Litigation and mediation experience highly preferred.
Previous experience in mediation, loss mitigation, quality control, and/or foreclosure highly preferred.

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the For! eclosure Audit Specialist is to validate the accuracy of the foreclosure timeline department and complete independent attorney desk audit and field reviews. The Foreclosure Audit Specialist will work closely with the default management team and company retained counsel in order to work toward an expedited resolution on compliance and audit issues. Position will measure, analyze, monitor and report on issues of meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and quantifying results through reports and scorecards to ensure an unbiased and objective analysis process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Monitor and QC/QA the foreclosure timeline group, and provide details and suggestions for improvement.
Complete attorney and foreclosure representativesâ desk audit reviews. Conduct onsite visits to attorneys to perform audits, assess operations and facilitate process improvements
Complete root cause analysis of foreclosure issues to identify process improvements ! or gaps and engage appropriate parties to remediate.
Identify and foreclosure timeline and attorney document violations.
Provide violations to Foreclosure management for calibration
Define current process flows within the department being audited - review current policies and procedures for applicability. Recommend policy and procedure changes to improve ongoing controls and process.
Obtain all pertinent supporting reports, documentation and ancillary materials to conduct testing of policies and procedures in place.
Assimilate QA/QC results into a comprehensive report for Foreclosure Management. Deliver a monthly summary trend report and individual performance summary to assist in preparing related performance scorecards based on timeline and quality performance goals identified in SLAs and KPIs.
Conduct preliminary meetings with senior management to arrive at consensus of findings for final report. This role is responsible for conducting i! nternal/external annual performance reviews with significant interactio! n with the attorney. Will evaluate assigned attorneys for compliance to policy, procedures, SLAs, state and federal requirements.
Maintain attorney contact matrix and internal attorney files.
Provide operational litigation support to executive management, inside counsel and outside counsel.
