POSITION SUMMARY:
Serve as the leader of a cross-functional team focuse! d on the delivery of software products and solutions. Lead collaborative design and development activities, and serve as partner to business leadership engaged with the team for the duration of projects. Attract, select, coach and counsel applications development team members. Collaborate with all Information Technology leadership and teams, and serve as an initiator and driver of evolutionary improvement. Create meaningful measures of team success, and actively lead the on-going improvement of the team and development of new best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Inspire understanding of Farm Credit Services of Americaâs vision, value propositions, and stra! tegic imperatives. consistent with team culture, core values, ! and team principles. Create a collaborative team environment and develop team members through coaching, training, as well as ongoing performance feedback. Conduct performance reviews, champion employee engagement and encourage employee development.
1. Optimize the teamâs flow of development of prioritized needs.
- Create visualizations of the work of the team.
- Set limits to optimize work flow.
- Lead team creation of policies/agreements for when work has completed phases.
- Develop metrics and measurements to support team activities for continual improvement.

4. Serve as the partner for Business Owners and business leadership to determine and deliver solutions for Farm Credit Services of America strategic and business unit needs.
- Help to orient business owners to the role.
- Conduct collaborate design and development sessions as appropriate
- Lead the development of release planning
- Lead prioritizing of technical project needs, and advise in the prioritization of features as needed.
- Engage in routine planning and problem solving
- Participate in the development of IT initiatives and improvement activities
- Performs ! other responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business administration or a related field required or equivalent experience. A minimum of five years experience in software development, including providing leadership to teams in delivering projects. Strong experience in using client-server or Internet based technologies. Demonstrated ability to lead individuals and teams. Duties require:
- Knowledge of customer service philosophies and the role of information management; computer hardware, software, languages, environments and related matters. Detailed knowledge of Internet/Intranet and client-server products and related terminology.
- Understanding of software development processes, object oriented design, software quality assurance and relational database development.
- Understanding of Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and complete tasks on a timely basi! s.
- Exercise leadership and judgment; analyze, evaluate and facilitate solutions to complex problems; make a positive personal impact on others; be innovative and creative and be logical and objective.
- Train, instruct and provide guidance to others. Interact positively with representatives of other associations, vendors and commercial entities.
- A passion and aptitude for lean (agile) methods required.
- Demonstrate team building abilities and attitude.
- Superior organization, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in facilitation of: user story creation, prioritization and estimation; planning; retrospectives; product demonstrations; release planning; daily stand ups.
- Understand and be a strong proponent of continuous integration and automation.
- Scrum certification or experience a plus.
- Proficient in Windows environment and use of Microsoft Office Suite.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Operates a computer and related peripheral equipment proficiently and performs repetitive motions on computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate and critique such information as written materials, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work related activities.
- Ability to complete work in an acceptable time frame and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
- Understands and uses computer technology related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to operate telephone and respond to call! s and in-person inquiries.
- Ability to move about the office with occasional reaching and bending.
- Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job up to 10%
- Ability to lift or move equipment up to 50 pounds from one location to another.
