The Farm Credit Services of America Information Technology (IT) Associates Program is designed to prepare employees for a career within in the area of information technology. Throughout the program, employees in th! e IT Associates Program learn to support, implement, and troubleshoot technology solutions in service to the customers and employees of Farm Credit Services of America.

Associate positions are based at our corporate office in Omaha, NE and will develop skills until they apply and are chosen for an on-going position with the company. An Associate may rotate through several IT teams over a two year period to fulfill learning goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

1. Participate in the support of existing technology platforms that may include: laptops, tablets, printers, phones, business intelligence, databases technologies, security, web servers, application servers, file/print servers, network equipment, and data-center technologies.

2. Participate in the evaluation, installation and integration of new hardware and so! ftware systems. Monitor system performance to ensure that effi! cient operations and results are achieved.

3. As needed, complete/update system documentation promoting maintenance and support.

4. Collaborate with a project team to plan releases, reflect and learn from team experience, gain feedback from end users, and train users on new system features.

5. Demonstrate understanding from experience following a learning roadmap: Learn about roles and skills in Information Technology; Learn about the customers served by Farm Credit Services of America; Learn the roles of our business team members at Farm Credit Services of America who work to bring value to our customers in every interaction; Learn to develop technology solutions to bring value to these customers and business team members.

Additional functions of the position may include:
1. Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer I! nformation Systems (CIS), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical degree with a minimum of a 3.0 Cumulative GPA. Characteristics of an ideal candidate include: Self-motivated, fast learner, customer service oriented, excellent problem solving skills, team player, active communicator, and a great passion for technology.. Duties require:

Strong interest in information technology professions.

• Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems and proficiency in a Windows environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Decision-making and problem solving ability.
• Advanced technology and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.

• Ability to understand and explain decisions and recommendations.

• Ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
