- Welcome inquiries (visitors, telephone, in writing) into work unit, ascertain purpose of visit, furnish information, provide directions, etc. to serve visitors’ needs
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with other employees and the public
- Prepare and process forms and correspondence within framework of established policies and procedures, sometimes involving confidential material
- Provides various clerical services as specific to receptionist role and location (can include payroll, mileage reports, mail, attendance reports, vouchers, purchase orders, scheduling, etc.)
- Receives and processes various department records, supplies, etc.
- Organizes and maintains department files, including confidential files, and maintains confidentiality
- Assists with monitoring inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment
- Participates in professional development to gain knowledge and skills
- Supports processes/activities as directed (specifics will vary based on location)
- Completes end of day procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school education or equivalent required
- Up to one year experience in general office work required
- Familiarity with all Microsoft and Google applications, database systems, printers, and general office machines (fax, copiers, postage, phones, etc.) required
