Job Description: Our client, a leading insurance company in the state of Nebraska, is currently seeking multiple Workersâ! Compensation Insurance Claims Adjusters to work out of their South Sioux City office. If you are motivated, with great time management skills and experience in handling Workersâ Compensation Claims, then this great insurance job is a good fit for you. As a Workersâ Compensation Adjuster, you would also be responsible for handling litigated and non-litigated claims from inception to close.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years workers' compensation adjusting experience with an insurance company or a private work comp vendor.
Experience working with lost time and litigated claims in multiple jurisdictions.
The desire and experience to stay up to date on workers' compensation laws, regulations and litigation procedures.
Knowledge of medical terminology, treatments and severity of various medical injuries.
Bachelors Degree is required Preferred Qualifications:
Active Adjusters License **Multiple positions available.! IRS will provide referral bonuses up to $500*
Job! Responsibilities: As a Workersâ Compensation Claims Adjuster, you will determine compensability, conduct investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of workersâ compensation claims. Additional responsibilities for the Workersâ Compensation Adjuster include:
Handling Workersâ Compensation Lost Time and Indemnity claims from inception to closure
Investigate, organize and analyze claims
Interview and obtain information, plus investigating claims to bring them to a conclusion
Job Requirements: As a Workersâ Compensation Adjuster, you must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, great time management, and sound knowledge of investigative techniques. Additional requirements of the Workersâ Compensation Claims Adjuster include:
Must have recent workersâ compensation claims handling experience to qualify
Capable of working under limited supervision to receive assignments and review Workersâ Compensation! Insurance Claims and policy information to provide background for investigation.
Will contact, interview and obtain statements (recorded or in person) from the insured, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, police officers, etc., to secure necessary claim information
Will evaluate facts supplied by investigation to determine compensability and financial exposure of the account, if any, and extent of the companyâs obligation to the insured under the policy contract
Will prepare reports on investigation, settlements, denial of claims, individual evaluation of involved parties, etc.
Must be able to pass criminal background check to qualify
