Personnel Benefits Specialist

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska

Description: Nebraska State Government is hiring Personnel Benefits Specialist right now, this position will be settled in Nebraska. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please read the description below. Examples of Work:
This position will be responsible to assist with developing, interpreting, and implementing policies, standards and procedures related to federal and st! ate benefit regulations including but not limited to PPACA, HIPPA, and the IRS and will draft technical correspondence to explain and assist with implementation of employee benefit policies, procedures, processes and changes to State and local government officials, clients' attorneys, guardians, Ombudsman office, public and participants to answer inquiries and to facilitate proper application of these procedures and process. Additionally, the position will monitor current and newly proposed and enacted federal and state legislation impacting benefit programs; make appropriate recommendations, and serve as an appeal stop by investigating complex, difficult and volatile Employee Benefit Program complaints.

Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Administrative and/or supervisory experience working with a range of health insurance and other complex benefits programs, and demonstrated experience working with and resolving complex customer service! issues.

PREFERRED: Preference will be given t! o candidates with experience reconciling benefits deductions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge: Effective communication skills are required to perform the essential functions of the job. Skilled in creating reports and correspondence, using email and applications.
