Summary of Job Function

Position serves as the Director of Business Development with emphasis on building Integrator/VAR Partner Program! and adding new referral partner channels for sales growth of new merchants.

The Integrator/VAR Partner Program is a key strategic initiative to grow merchant base organically at TMS leveraging many areas of TMS and TAS to capitalize on current and new VAR Partner certifications with TSYS.

This role will be responsible for coordinating all marketing initiatives or supporting processes for all new partners sending new merchants and leads to TMS.

The candidate works across organizational units to develop and execute strategies on all aspects of sales, support and marketing relations.

The candidate will work closely with Product Team and VAR support, and relationship management teams to enable most effective farming of partnerships.

The candidate serves as a sales and marketing advocate and liaison for functional units within the organization, advising senior leaders in those units on specific issues and coordinating appropriate sal! es and/or marketing resources to achieve their functional goal! s.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Build business plan and identify key vertical markets to attack with Integrator / VAR approach.
  • Identify addressable market and verticals that we may want to avoid and others where competition is weak or there is most opportunity for merchant sales penetration leveraging new and existing partnerships.
  • Work with executives to coordinate Program Packaging, product launches, sales and marketing efforts, pricing, and contract negotiations to promote products and services coordinated with our partners.
  • Work with leadership and comp teams to create or modify comp plans as needed to drive expected growth results in all aspects of merchant acquisition.
  • Lead sales efforts to new partners and vertical program creation by attending trade shows and meeting partners in person as well as coordination in Tempe and Omaha with internal business partners - expected travel at 50-75%.
  • Work clo! sely with legal and compliance teams to create desired partner structures to drive expected results.
  • Build communication and coordinate efforts with clients, TSYS client managers, sales leadership, Referral Partner Management, and product teams to effectively introduce, sell, renew and launch programs.
  • Understand and facilitate TSYS corporate goals and strategies to meet departmental goals and directives for the team.
  • Negotiate deal points and contract issues with all involved parties (clients, attorneys, product owners, vendors, etc.) to achieve optimal results. This may also include some renewal negotiations as needed.
  • Support prospecting and identifying clients and products effectively to determine the opportunities that represent the most revenue and benefit for TSYS.
Harness the vast lead generation of TMS sales and marketing teams, and determine priority on partner creation that will yield best results and proper use of c! ompany resources.

  • Direct the marketing team in the de! velopment of presentations, collateral material and communication tools to support marketing efforts both to partners and merchants targeted within chosen Verticals.
  • May facilitate the planning, coordination and facilitation of TSYS partner conferences to include breakout sessions, product presentations and discussions.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key executives and decision makers within client and TSYS organizations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive products in order to strategically identify and target sales and/or marketing opportunities.
  • Work with other TMS Sales leaders to coordinate marketing campaigns and direct sales focus for new and existing partners that become part of Vertical approach.
  • Implement creative strategies and work with SME’s and Account Managers to seek new solutions or enhancements where needed.
  • Work to develop initiatives to improve communications, processe! s and workflow with clients and within TSYS and TMS to create and maintain positive relationships and the best possible merchant customer experience to include boarding and ongoing support.
  • Develop reports that provide revenue projection, product penetration rates and accurate sales forecasts for senior/ executive management
Qualifications

Four year college degree and ten or more years professional experience or 12 or more years professional experience is required. Previous management experience is required and some appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
