Corporate Attorney in the Legal department
at our corporate office in Sidney, NE.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Review and advise the Company concerning legal aspects related to contracts, compliance, and various other legal issues.
KEY DUTIES:
Contract review, drafting, and negotiation - Review contracts to identify legal issues, and/or draft contracts, for various Company representatives; negotiate various issues with opposing legal counsel.
Compliance - Review and advise the Company concerning compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Other Legal Matters - Proactively review Company policies and procedures to identify legal issues; respond to requests from various Company representatives to review and provide comment/response to legal issues impacting the Company; and communicate with outside state and federal agencies, and opposing legal c! ounsel, on various legal matters.
EDUCATION AND EX! PERIENCE:
JD Degree
5-7 years of experience
Active law license for the State of Nebraska (or the ability to obtain)
