Under direct supervision of the Chief Probation Officer or designee, this is a highly responsible paraprofessional position. Work involves monitoring and coordinating ! activities associated with the supervision of administrative and low-risk Probation cases, assisting probation officers in preparing investigative reports and alleged probation violations, coordinating and administering client assessments, arranging and conducting alcohol and drug testing of clients, initiating and monitoring treatment referrals as well as payment of fines, restitution, and community service. May meet with clients to obtain background information and assess appropriate levels of supervision, obtain demographic, criminal, and driving histories on clients, explain terms of probation to clients and make appropriate referrals consistent with court order, supervise assigned administrative and minimum-risk cases, maintain appointment schedules and prepare chronological case notes on clients, work closely with judges, court personnel, and referral agencies.

Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Education or experience that will en! able the employee to possess the required knowledge, skills, a! nd abilities.

PREFERRED: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish. Experience performing office support functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Probation system policies and procedures; ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to organize time, set priorities and work under stressful conditions; knowledge of legal terminology and general court procedures; working knowledge of NPACS.
